Sweet Temptation is a lush, jewel-toned celebration of sweet peas in full bloom — deep crimson and violet petals rendered with extraordinary realism against a soft, luminous garden background.

This painting was born on a sunny afternoon walk through North Park, San Diego — a spontaneous photograph that stopped Désirée in her tracks. She was deep in the grey, monochromatic palette of a commissioned work, and these sweet peas were the antidote: a burst of color, life, and joy in the middle of the pandemic. Painted in oils on wood panel, every brushstroke has been laid with deep intention — an offering of beauty meant to bring calm, joy, and serenity into your living space.
