Isabel had a gift for finding joy in the ordinary — and The Apple of My Eye is a perfect expression of that spirit. Three apples, warm and luminous, rich with deep red-oranges, painted the way you look at something you never want to forget. With an intimate eye for light and everyday beauty, this piece is part of a beloved still life trio painted by Isabel Tribler.

Isabel painted this in Belgium, where she spent her retirement years doing what she loved most — painting. Her daughter Désirée loved this piece so much she brought it with her to the United States, where it remains in her personal collection.
